Spring Blitz in April

Plans are being made for the next River Blitz. Contact Shannon, the River Blitz coordinator for details.

River Blitz leaders will be receiving a training session in the next few weeks. Shannon will be in touch with you so let her know if you are able to be a leader. Once again we will have the Blitz over two weekends. We are also able to do some week day teams. Great news, Doug, the newest River Park Foundation staff, will also be part of this year's planning team.

If you aren't able to be a leader, you can still be a team member. Your can sign up for one or more 2 - 4 hour surveys from Lakeside to the ocean.

Let us know if you have any suggestions to improve the Blitz. We got lots of great data that we have been using to clean up the river. Can't wait for April! River Rob

Next River Blitz October 2008

Get ready, the next River Blitz will be held in October. What weekend works best for you? Interested in being a team leader? Let me know that as well.

Check out this demonstration site. We will be using to eradicate, YES, eradicate trash from the Mission Valley Preserve. Data collected during River Blitz will be used to guide fall river clean-ups. Very cool.
